QUESTION
How do I set up a data feed from National Financial Services, LLC?
ANSWER
Tamarac Advisor Services often assists clients with requests to enable a particular custodian feed to PortfolioCenter.
Instructions
To set up the data feed from National Financial Services, follow these steps:
Document Preparation
There is not a formal Letter of Authorization (LOA) for this custodian. National Financial Services (NFS) is part of Fidelity. They provide clearing and custody services for investors.
In order to use NFS, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) will need to have a separate broker dealer. They will need to contact their broker dealer in order to establish their feed to Envestnet and to create a new third party login.
UMP Data Feed
To enable the data feed in the UMP from National Financial Services, have the client contact their broker-dealer to have accounts added to the Envestnet feed. If the Broker Dealer has not worked with Envestnet before, they will need Envestnet’s 3030 (thirty-thirty) number to tie to their account numbers. Envestnet’s 3030 number is: 3030000259.
Once accounts are added to the 3030 number, you should be able to view accounts in UMP in 1-2 days.
